• Uncover Your Family History:  Discover the different types of records available in the Archives for conducting genealogical research.  Learn how to obtain, birth, death, marriage and property information from municipal records.  On now until May 31, 2012 in the lobby of Regional Administrative Headquarters.
• People Helping People:  A sample of archival records related to policing in the area including the current Waterloo Regional Police Service and former police departments in Kitchener, Waterloo, Galt, Hespeler, Preston, Bridgeport, Elmira, New Hamburg, and Township of Waterloo.  On now in the Archives Research Room.

• June 8-9, 2012 - 2012 - Year of History Conference, Waterloo Region Museum, 10 Huron Road, Kitchener.
• September 5-28, 2012 - The Promotion of Healthy Living in Ontario, traveling exhibit from Archives of Ontario/Archives de l'Ontario.  The promotion of healthy living by the Government of Ontario has a long and fascinating history.  The Archives of Ontario has many holdings that detail the activities of the government agencies that have been involved in the promotion of healthy living in the province.  The history of health promotion in Ontario is also, of course, the history of the health of Ontarians. From tuberculosis to H1N1, the approach to encouraging healthy living has changed as needs have changed.  View this exhibit at 150 Frederick Street, Kitchener.
• September 15, 2012 - Doors Open Waterloo Region, most sites open 10am-5pm.  FREE heritage and architecture tour.  Discover the secret places of Waterloo Region!  Free admission, children's activities, music, drama presentations, walking tours and other special events (check our web site).  Pick up our 2012 map & guide at libraries, museums and tourism offices across Waterloo Region from July to September, or in The Waterloo Region Record on Saturday, September 8. 
• September 18-22, 2012 - Waterloo Region hosts the 2012 International Plowing Match in Roseville.
• October 2-30, 2012 - The Promotion of Healthy Living in Ontario, traveling exhibit from Archives of Ontario/Archives de l'Ontario.  View this exhibit at 99 Regina Street, Waterloo.
• November 3, 2012 - 2nd Annual KPL Genealogy Fair, details to be announced.
