Meet Geoff Lorentz

Geoff Lorentz was elected to Regional Council on October 25, 2010 as a Kitchener representative. Geoff is a lifelong resident of Kitchener and served as City Councillor for Forest-Rockway Ward from 1988 to 2010. He had previously served on Waterloo Regional Council from 1991 to 2000 as a City of Kitchener Council appointee.
Geoff was employed by Canada Post as letter carrier and retired recently after 38 years. The former owner of Winexpert Kitchener, Geoff is currently the on-site property manager at the Sunrise Shopping Centre.
Between balancing his public service roles and managing the family business, he is also an Honourary Life Director for KW and area United Way and volunteers for the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
Geoff and Debbie have three adult children and four grandchildren. In his free time, Geoff enjoys travelling, local sports, golfing and reading.
