Region shares plans for improvements to Ainslie Street in downtown Cambridge

Waterloo Region – The Region of Waterloo plans to reconstruct Ainslie Street in the City of Cambridge, to improve pedestrian and cycle accessibility, and upgrade the roadway. The construction will include installing underground infrastructure such as sanitary, storm sewers, and watermains, resurfacing the road and sidewalks, replacing streetlights, and adding new cycle lanes to connect to the regional cycling network.

In-person meeting, May 29

Residents are invited to an in-person meeting on Wednesday, May 29 from 6:30–8:30 p.m. at Cambridge City Hall, 50 Dickson Street.

The Region’s project team will share an update on the project including new cycling infrastructure on Ainslie Street from Concession Street to the GRT Ainslie Transit Terminal, timelines, and next steps, and they want to hear from you.
