Applications now open for Community Innovation Grants program
Harness your creative energy and tell us how you propose to support connectivity and learning for Black, Indigenous and racialized youth in Waterloo Region. Your project could receive funding as part of the Community Innovation Grants (CIG) program.
This program fosters new partnerships and collaboration; builds on and strengthens existing partnerships; and finds and develops new sustainable approaches to addressing social, health, cultural, economic, environmental and other needs in Waterloo Region.
The 2021 program focuses on removing barriers to connectivity and learning for the Region’s Black, Indigenous and racialized youth. These barriers were heightened as a result of the pandemic.
The CIG program offers $50,000 each year. The Region of Waterloo may decide to award the entire fund to one proposal, or lesser amounts to several proposals.
Successful applicants will be required to provide a summary report and presentation to Regional Council once the project is completed.
