2019 Novel Coronavirus
On January 30, 2020, the World Health Organization declared 2019 Novel Coronavirus a public health emergency of international concern. Despite this declaration, the risk to Canadians remains low as there has been no active spread of the virus in Canada.
The Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) is actively monitoring the 2019 Novel Coronavirus and is in close contact with the World Health Organization and provinces to assess the situation and any potential risk to Canadians.
