Input needed for Region of Waterloo’s 2023 Budget

Posted on Wednesday November 16, 2022

Waterloo Region – Residents can have their say now on the Region of Waterloo’s 2023 Plan and Budget.

This year, municipalities across the province face significant budget challenges. The Region’s 2023 budget must balance expanding important services for our growing community, and rising costs caused by inflation.

“The budget plays a significant role in how we collectively build a world-class community,” said Regional Chair Karen Redman. “Council is excited to hear which programs and services are important to you.”

There are several ways for community members to provide input. The Region has already completed a telephone poll this fall. A short online survey and other feedback options are available at until the end of 2022. The dates of all public budget meetings will also be added to the EngageWR page as they become available.

Council will finalize the 2023 budget early next year.
