Timing
Preliminary construction work started on June 23, 2025, with two-way traffic maintained.
Robert Ferrie Drive between Blair Creek Drive and New Dundee Road will be closed starting July 21 for approximately five months.
Construction will extend through December 2025. Robert Ferrie Drive will reopen over the winter 2025/2026.
Closures and lane reductions
Robert Ferrie Drive between Blair Creek Drive and New Dundee Road will be closed to through traffic starting on July 21 until December 2025.
New Dundee Road will remain open to two-way traffic throughout this work with some temporary lane restrictions at times. There may be periods when traffic will need to travel on a gravel surface or be controlled with flag persons or with the use of temporary portable traffic signals.
Emergency Services (Police, Fire, Paramedics) have been notified of the construction, closures and detours to minimize any disruptions to services.
Please plan for some delays and travel carefully within the construction zone. We request that when driving or walking through and around the construction zone you follow and obey the construction traffic signage for your safety and for the safety of the workers.
Access to Doon South subdivision
Eastbound local traffic will be directed to take Stauffer Woods Trail to reach the Doon South subdivision.
Westbound local traffic will be directed to take Pinnacle Drive to reach the Doon South subdivision.
Oversized and slow-moving vehicles
Large trucks and farming equipment will continue to use New Dundee Road for access to businesses and area farms during construction. Many of these vehicles are wider than conventional lane widths and move at slow speeds. Please be patient, drive slowly through the construction zone, yield to oncoming wide vehicles or equipment, and use caution when approaching slow moving vehicles from behind.
