Construction notice: Samuelson Street, Cambridge, April–June 2025

Elgin Street to Mill Creek Road

About the project

The Region of Waterloo, in consultation with the City of Cambridge, is installing a new watermain along Samuelson Street. This work involves installing a new transmission/local watermain from Elgin Street N to Mill Creek Road, connecting to the new watermain installed last year.

Timing — starts April 14, 2025

Construction will be from April 14 to June 30, 2025.

Closures

Between April 28 to May 2, northbound and southbound access to the Samuelson Street and Elgin Street intersection will be closed. Eastbound and westbound access will be maintained.

Two-way traffic will be maintained on Samuelson Street from Elgin Street N to Mill Creek Road prior to April 28 and after May 2. Traffic will be controlled by staff on site.

Please plan for some delays and travel carefully through the construction zone following construction signs.

Pedestrian access

The sidewalks in this area will remain accessible during construction. Pedestrians should follow the signs as they walk through the site.
