Waterloo Region – On Saturday, May 25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Region of Waterloo Paramedic Services invites the community to visit them at their North Headquarters at 1001A Erbs Road, Waterloo.

“This is the first time that members of the public can visit us at our North Headquarters, since the building opened in late February 2020,” says Paramedic Services Chief John Riches. “This is a great opportunity for our team to connect with the public. The event is during Paramedic Services Week and this year’s theme is ‘Help us, help you.’ We are excited to give an inside look at how paramedics work and to share important health information with residents in a fun environment. I hope this inaugural event kickstarts a  tradition for our community.”

The event will give people the chance to talk with paramedics, tour an ambulance and see a variety of demonstrations. Kids will be entertained with story time in an ambulance, temporary tattoos, a colouring contest and more. Refreshments will be available for purchase from food trucks. Free parking is available on-site. Visitors are asked to enter the event from Fire Tower Road, off Erbs Road.

“Paramedics play a vital role in keeping the community safe and healthy every day,” says Regional Chair Karen Redman. “This is a fun, family-friendly opportunity to learn more about how paramedics respond and care for residents.”

Region of Waterloo Paramedic Services is committed to providing excellence in patient care while serving the community with compassion, dignity and professionalism. For event details and more information on Paramedic Services visit
