Waterloo Region – On October 2, 2024, Public Health will open a new clinic in the Region of Waterloo building at 20 Weber Street, Kitchener. Initially, vaccinesand sexual health services will be available by appointment. Dental screening and baby feeding appointments will be offered in the future.

“Region of Waterloo Public Health provides residents with inclusive, accessible and culturally safe health services that support the overall wellbeing of the community,” says Regional Chair Karen Redman.  “This new Public Health clinic is a testament to the work the Region does to provide residents access to service in spaces and places that fit their needs.”

The new space features six accessible clinic rooms and is located on the second floor of the building. The clinic is located close to the Ion light-rail line and multiple bus routes. Bike racks are available outside the building and multiple parking options are available throughout downtown Kitchener.

“This central location is ideal for a Public Health clinic that provides easy access to important health services,” says Dr. Hsiu-Li Wang, Medical Officer of Health for the Region of Waterloo. “The addition of this clinic in downtown Kitchener brings Public Health supports closer to where residents need them.”

A grand opening event is planned for January 2025.

In addition to its new clinic space at 20 Weber St, Kitchener, Public Health operates clinics at 150 Main Street, Cambridge and 99 Regina Street South, Waterloo as part of its work to keep Waterloo Region residents safe and healthy.
