GRT on the list of stops for Tim Hortons cross-Canada tour
Waterloo Region – Tim Hortons will serve up thanks in the form of coffee and treats to Grand River Transit (GRT) workers this Friday, July 3. It’s part of their cross-Canada giveaway for people who are serving their community during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“It’s really a wonderful gesture by Tim Hortons to recognize our operators and staff who have been dedicated to serving our community during this difficult time,” says Peter Zinck, Director of Transit Services. “We are honoured to have been selected and thank them for their support.”
GRT was selected as part of Tim Hortons COVID Community Response to say thanks to front line workers.
Tim Hortons van will roll into GRT Operations Centre at 250 Strasburg Road and the Cambridge Centre Station on Hespeler Road to provide the treats to staff.
Since March, Tim Hortons has been travelling all over Canada giving out free coffee and treats to those working on the frontlines during the pandemic. Nationally, Tim Hortons has served 1.2M cups and thank you’s, and growing, to front line workers and locally (KW/Cambridge) around 60 stops have been made.
