Hop into fun at Region of Waterloo Museums this Easter season!

Waterloo Region – Join Region of Waterloo Museums this month for fun-filled Easter activities for all ages. Explore our three historic sites: Ken Seiling Waterloo Region Museum, McDougall Cottage and Schneider Haus, each offering Easter activities. Ticketed events ($) are on sale now.

Saturday, April 12

• 12 to 4 p.m. - Easter Eggstravaganza $ (Schneider Haus – Kitchener) 
  Hop on down to Schneider Haus to take part in our springtime Easter Eggstravaganza! Explore the world of natural dye baths, plant a seed to take home, hop through bunny lane and try some bunny games like carrot toss. Get messy with some springtime crafts, join us in our amphitheatre for a seasonal story and stop in to meet our baby chicks. Finish off your trip with a colourful mini egg hunt and get a special Easter treat. Find the golden egg and enter your name into a raffle for a chance to win a Region of Waterloo Museums membership!

Friday, April 18 – Monday, April 21

• 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. - Easter Hop, Hunt and Celebrate (Ken Seiling Waterloo Region Museum – Kitchener)
  Take part in a museum-wide scavenger hunt, where you can explore exhibits while searching for hidden treasures. Test your teamwork and speed with thrilling relay races and enjoy the outdoors with classic patio games like cornhole and croquet. Don’t forget to try our wiggle cars and get creative with Easter crafts!
• 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. - Hoppy Easter Weekend with Baby Chicks (Schneider Haus - Kitchener)
  On Friday, stop by and taste test hot cross buns, a traditional Easter treat, fresh from the oven. On Saturday, Sunday, and Monday the museum will be buzzing with spring crafts and activities all day long. Make your own hopping bunny and slime to take home. Don’t forget to check in on the resident baby chicks chirping away!  Take part in a mini egg hunt and collect an Easter treat! Spot the golden egg during your hunt and enter for a chance to win a free membership to the Region of Waterloo Museums!

Friday, April 18 – Sunday, April 20

• 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. - Spring Fling: A Family Easter Celebration $ (McDougall Cottage – Cambridge)
  Enjoy a weekend brimming with laughter, creativity, and the sweet delights of the season! All weekend long, enjoy creating egg-citing springtime crafts, planting posies and lots more! Challenge your family to a game of carrot toss, or bunny bowling and then search the cottage’s garden to receive a special Easter treat bag!
