Workforce

Waterloo Region has one of Canada's most highly skilled workforces. As of 2011, 52 per cent of residents over the age of 15 had a post-secondary degree. That number increases to 63 per cent of residents 25 to 69.

Waterloo Region's workforce is well positioned for the future with training and education in a variety of fields. Business and administration, as well as engineering and related technologies, top the list of major fields studied.

In 2020 Waterloo Region had the 10th largest workforce, and the 4th largest manufacturing workforce, in Canada.
