Interested in starting or joining a carpool?  

Watch this video or follow the steps below.

1. Go to GoTravelWise.ca
2. Create an account
3. Enter your trip details and select "Let's Go"
4. "Star" your trip to add details and preferences to your carpool (for example, departure and arrival times, driver and passenger preferences)
5. See and be seen by nearby carpoolers with similar routes (exact addresses not shown)
6. Select your best match and send a message to see if it's a good fit

Benefits of carpooling

You will save a lot of money! CAA's Driving Cost Calculator can give you an idea of how much it actually costs to own and operate a personal vehicle. Carpooling allows you to share that expense, leaving you with money for other things.

If you alternate vehicles, carpooling helps reduce the wear and tear on each vehicle. Also, taking turns driving can help reduce the stress of driving.

You will also help to reduce traffic congestion and improve air quality. That saves us all money and makes Waterloo Region an even better place to live.
