Heidelberg Water Upgrades

The Region of Waterloo is upgrading the water supply system in the community of Heidelberg in Wellesley. This work includes constructing a new watermain along Lobsinger Line from St. Clements to Heidelberg that will connect to the St. Clements Water Treatment Plant. Service connections will be made to unserviced properties along Lobsinger Line in Heidelberg.

The existing Heidelberg Water Treatment Plant is no longer in use and will be demolished in 2025.

Schedule

Getting around during construction

Construction on Lobsinger Line is now complete.

The Heidelberg Water Treatment Plant is being deconstructed from August to mid-September 2025. This area will be restored by grading and applying grass seed to match surrounding conditions.
