Fischer-Hallman Road | Bleams to Plains

The Region of Waterloo is improving Fischer-Hallman Road between Bleams Road and Plains Road in Kitchener.

This work includes:

  • Widening to four lanes with a raised centre median
  • Two new roundabouts at Rosenberg Way and Wallaceton Way
  • Multi-use paths on each side of the road
  • Water and storm sewer underground infrastructure installation
  • New street lighting and bus stop pads
  • Wildlife passage culvert and fencing

This project is being completed in phases:

  • Phase 1: Bleams Road to approx. 150 metres north of Rosenberg Way
  • Phase 2: Approx. 150 metres north of Rosenberg Way to 750m north of Seabrook Drive, including roundabouts at Wallaceton Way and Rosenberg Way
  • Phase 3: Approx. 750m north of Seabrook Drive to Huron Road and south of Haldimand Street to south of Plains Road

Schedule

Environmental assessment: 2015–2016
Design and planning: 2016–2025
Construction phase 1: 2020–2021 (completed)
Construction phase 2: 2023–2024 (completed)
Construction phase 3: 2026

Note: timing may be affected by weather conditions and changing project scope; updates will be posted as needed.
