Water and Wastewater


Each year the Region of Waterloo Water Services releases water quality and water and wastewater monitoring reports. You can view the current and previous year reports on the website. Contact the Region of Waterloo Water Services to request older reports.

  • Water quality and summary report compares the level of quality for the drinking water in Waterloo Region to the Ontario Drinking Water Standards in the legislation O.Reg.169/03
  • Water and wastewater monitoring report documents actual water use and wastewater flows, water production and wastewater treatment capacities, development planning and remaining capacity.

Reports may not meet accessibility guidelines due to requirements to include technical information such as maps. Alternate formats are available upon request.

Cities and Townships water quality reports

The Region of Waterloo works closely with the Cities and Townships to provide municipal drinking water to homes and businesses throughout the Region. The Cities and Townships are also responsible for releasing water quality reports.
