Reports
We release water quality and water and wastewater monitoring reports each year. You can view the current and previous year reports on the website. Contact the Region of Waterloo Water Services to request older reports.
- Water quality and summary report compares the level of quality for the drinking water in Waterloo Region to the Ontario Drinking Water Standards in the legislation O.Reg.169/03
- Water and wastewater monitoring report documents actual water use and wastewater flows, water production and wastewater treatment capacities, development planning and remaining capacity.
Reports may not meet accessibility guidelines due to requirements to include technical information. Alternate formats are available upon request.

City and Township water quality reports
The Region of Waterloo works closely with the Cities and Townships to provide municipal drinking water to homes and businesses throughout the Region. The Cities and Townships are also responsible for releasing water quality reports.

Environmental Records Search request
There is a $150 fee for each property and/or Property Identification Number (PIN) or Roll Number request.
An environmental record search provides information from:
- Hydrogeology and Source Water Protection Urban Threats Inventory database. This is a reconnaissance-scale inventory of urban land use activities with the potential to affect the quality of surface water and groundwater in Waterloo Region
- Proximity to mapped source water protection areas
- Region of Waterloo environmental incident reports (environmental spills) from 2003 to present
