The Region of Waterloo is committed to providing safe and vibrant communities for its residents, businesses and visitors. 

The Region of Waterloo Licensing and Enforcement Services (L&ES) section ensures consumer and environmental protection by providing the following:

• enforcement of Regional regulatory by-laws such as Conservation of Trees by-law, Outdoor Water Use by-law, Work Permit by-law, and the Waste by-law
• Smoking, Vaping and Tobacco Enforcement

Where can I get new "No Smoking No Vaping" signs?        

• provides Weed Inspection services and enforces the Weed Control Act
• licensing, inspection and regulation of the taxi cab, salvage yard and second hand shop industries 
• notification of holidays pursuant to the Retail Business Holidays Act
