The Region of Waterloo is rehabilitating Can-Amera Parkway between Franklin Boulevard and Conestoga Boulevard. This work includes a new asphalt roadway, multi-use paths on each side of the road, new streetlighting, bus stop improvements, and replacement of the existing guiderail.
This summer, a new Grand River Transit (GRT) Pride bus will travel on routes across Waterloo Region, celebrating the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and the connections that help make the region welcoming, inclusive and vibrant.

The Region of Waterloo is installing a single-lane roundabout at the intersection of Roseville Road and Edworthy Side Road in North Dumfries. This design was selected based on feedback received during public engagement, along with technical analysis and internal review.
With a hot and dry summer in the forecast, the annual Water Conservation Bylaw is back. The bylaw will be in effect from May 31 to September 30 to help curb outdoor water use, which typically increases during the warmer months.

As announced late yesterday, A Better Tent City (ABTC) will wind down its operations as a non-profit organization, as of Monday, July 20, 2026.
Planned improvements within the village of Maryhill include full road reconstruction, underground storm sewer replacement, new curbs and sidewalks, and road and driveway improvements. Improvements to the Hopewell Creek bridge will include upgraded guiderails, decorative wall replacements, and enhanced space for pedestrians and cyclists.
The Region of Waterloo is replacing the Scheifele Bridge on Northfield Drive at Conestogo River in Woolwich Township. Work will feature the full replacement of the bridge deck, piers, abutments and wingwalls.
