Here are our apps special features:

1. Displays your collection calendar. You can embed your calendar in Outlook, Google, or iCal. And you can print out your 12-month personalized collection calendar.
2. Sends reminders about your collection day customized to your preferences.
3. Allows for multiple addresses. If you look after another property (such as your parents' or rental building), you can set it up for multiple addresses.
4. Gives you convenient access to
   • The item search tool:  Type in an item to find out how to prepare and dispose of it. If you can't find the item, request it to be added. Content is 100 per cent tailored to Waterloo Region.
   • The online form to report a collection concern.
5. Keeps you updated on the latest waste information. We send out important collection alerts and program information for your specific collection area, periodically.
6. Tests your knowledge. Play the Rethink Waste game to see if you can sort it out! It's a fun game, different every time.

The information you provide when you register is collected and used in connection with your use of the Region of Waterloo Waste Whiz app and the service it provides. The personal information collected on this form (address, and, if provided, telephone number, social media accounts) are used to share collection schedules and notifications to you regarding the services provided by the Waste Management Division. This information is processed by the Region's third party service provider and the Waste Management staff at the Region of Waterloo.
