Can-Amera Parkway

The Region of Waterloo is improving Can-Amera Parkway between Conestoga Boulevard and Franklin Boulevard in Cambridge. These improvements include:
- Asphalt pavement replacement
- New multi-use path on both sides of the roadway (3.0m wide)
- GRT bus stop improvements
- New street lighting within the project limits
- Guiderail replacement along the north side of the road

Design and planning: 2025–2026
Construction: July 2026 - September 2026
Note: timing may be affected by weather conditions and changing project scope; updates will be posted as needed.

$2.72 million
Getting around during construction
During construction, the eastbound direction of Can-Amera Parkway will be fully closed between Conestoga Boulevard to Franklin Boulevard.
Please follow the detour signage on Hespeler Road to Bishop Street to Franklin Boulevard. There will also be short-term full road closure in the westbound direction at certain stages, including during surface asphalt placement.
