The Region of Waterloo is responsible for licensing and regulating taxi and rideshare services as outlined under By-law 16-044, as well as any relevant provincial legislation. This includes ensuring that accessible taxis are available and meet safety and accessibility standards. The Region of Waterloo issues business licenses for taxis, including accessible taxis, however, we do not offer or provide taxi services directly. To book accessible taxi services, please contact one of the licensed taxi providers below:

MobilityPlus Customers
Grand River Transit offers specialized services for people who are unable to use conventional transit due to a disability. MobilityPLUS customers who live and travel in Cambridge, Kitchener and Waterloo can purchase taxi coupons to pay for taxi trips taken within the boundaries of the three cities.
