Roseville | Edworthy Side Road Roundabout

The Region of Waterloo is installing a single-lane roundabout at the intersection of Roseville Road and Edworthy Side Road in North Dumfries. This design was selected based on feedback received during public engagement, along with technical analysis and internal review.

This project aims to improve safety, traffic flow, and intersection operations for all road users.

This work includes:

Construction of a single-lane roundabout
Installation of storm sewers, road base, curb and gutter
Asphalt removal and replacement
Ditch grading and profiling
Installation of additional lighting within the project limits.

Construction is scheduled to begin in May 2026 and is expected to be completed by November 2026. Work will be completed in phases:

Phase 1 - includes storm sewer installation along Edworthy Side Road and the south side of Roseville Road, as well as construction of the south side of Roseville Road and the Edworthy Side Road leg of the roundabout. This stage also includes splitter islands, multi-use paths, and shoulders.

Phase 2 - includes installing storm sewers and building the north side of Roseville Road. This work will also include constructing splitter islands, multi-use paths, shoulders, and landscaping.

Phase 3 - includes final surface paving
