Getting around during construction
The project is being completed in three stages to reduce traffic impacts throughout construction. Construction began on July 2, 2026. Stages 1 and 2 have been completed.
Beginning September 8, Stage 3 of construction will be in place and will include the closure of the south leg of Fischer-Hallman Road at the intersection. Motorists will be able to travel south on Fischer-Hallman Road to the intersection but will only be able to turn right onto New Dundee Road and travel west toward Trussler Road.
Motorists travelling west on New Dundee Road will be able to continue through the intersection or turn right and travel north on Fischer-Hallman Road.
Southbound travel on Fischer-Hallman Road will be restricted during this stage. Access to the Esso and coffee shop will be maintained from the south, while the animal hospital will remain accessible from the north.
Local access and traffic movements will be maintained where possible throughout construction.
