Schneider Creek Path
Overview
Project number: 07623 | Updated: January 2025
The Region of Waterloo is planning to construct a multi-use path connection between Manitou Drive west to an existing path on Block Line Road in Kitchener. The two-way multi-use path will be approximately 1.3 km long and 3 meters wide to accommodate walking, cycling and other modes of active transportation.
The path will include a pedestrian/cycling bridge over Schneider Creek, a railway crossing, and connections to existing trails nearby. The path will also complete a missing section of the Trans Canada Trail, making that trail more fluid and enjoyable through the Kitchener section.
This path will enhance community connectivity by providing a safe and efficient route for both recreational users and those commuting for active transportation.
