Free savings for your child's education

Open a Registered Education Savings Plan (RESP) account for your child's education and the federal government will put $500 in right away and add $100 every year that your child is eligible until they turn 15. Many banks and providers offer free RESP accounts and you don't have to make your own contribution when you open the account.

Who is eligible

• Families who have children born in 2004 or later
• Maximum net family income for one to three children is less than or equal to $45,916

If you receive Ontario Works or Ontario Disability Support Benefits, this grant will not affect your benefits.
