G2G Rail Trail Pedestrian Bridge

Overview

The Region of Waterloo is planning to construct a pedestrian and cycling bridge over the Conestogo River as part of the Guelph to Goderich (G2G) Rail Trail, locally known as the Kissing Bridge Trailway.

The recommended design is a two-span trestle structure that will connect a missing link of the trail, improving trail continuity and user experience. This project will help strengthen the G2G Trail network and support recreation, tourism, and broader economic development in the region.
