The Region of Waterloo is improving Maple Grove Road between Hespeler Road and Vondrau Drive in Cambridge. These improvements include:
- New asphalt multi-use paths on both sides of the street and bridge
- Two new roundabouts at Hespeler Road and Beaverdale Road
- Widening from two to four lanes
- Rehabilitating Ellis (Chilligo) Creek bridge
- Stormwater and drainage improvements
- Street lighting improvements
These improvements will make it easier for all residents to get around, whether by car, public transit, bike, or foot.

Getting around during construction
Construction of phase one between Hespeler Road and Beaverdale Road is now complete. Final surface asphalt paving will be completed in 2026. Stay tuned for next year's construction plan.
