Child Care Subsidy Summer Camp Resources for Parents and Caregivers
This resource is intended for current and active Region of Waterloo Child Care Subsidy clients. If you are not part of the Child Care Subsidy program, you can check if you might qualify by visiting our webpage on Help Paying for Child Care and using the online child care subsidy calculator.
To access Child Care Subsidy, you will need to apply using the online application or by calling 519-575-4400. A Reason for Child Care is required for fee subsidy to be applied for summer care.
Summer camps are offered in the following Waterloo Region locations. Please check back often for a list of summer camps that are eligible to be covered by the Child Care Subsidy program for fee assistance.

About the 2026 Summer Camps
Please look at the list early and often. Some summer camps open registration as early as January 1, 2026. The list will be updated frequently, as summer camps confirm their program with Child Care Subsidy. Each organization has their own registration process, and you will need to apply directly to each program to secure a placement.
For camps that are offered for 4 year olds, the child must be entering Senior Kindergarten in September 2026 to be able to register for camp.
Once registered, please connect with your Child Care Subsidy Caseworker, so they can assess your subsidy eligibility and issue a Confirmation of Fee Assistance letter that can be provided to the camp. Your Child Care Subsidy Caseworker will request that you forward any confirmation emails for summer camp registrations or waitlists that your child may be on for summer camp. After Child Care Subsidy has been confirmed and a Confirmation of Fee Assistance letter has been issued to a summer camp, any changes or withdrawal will require four weeks notice. You will be required to pay your parent contribution (if applicable) for the withdraw notice period.
Some summer camp programs may also be eligible for Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care (CWELCC) reductions for children under the age of six. Visit our webpage to learn more.
