Construction between Grand Avenue and Water Street South is nearing completion with final restoration work anticipated to occur in October 2023.

  • Notice of Study Commencement - Trussler Road Improvements Bleams Road to Yellow Birch Drive Notice of Study Commencement Trussler Road (Regional Road 70) Improvements Bleams Road to Yellow Birch Drive City of Kitchener & Township of Wilmot Municipal Class Environmental Assessment, Schedule ‘C' The Region of Waterloo is undertaking a Schedule ‘C' Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (Class EA) for improvements to the Trussler Road corridor from Bleams Road to Yellow Birch Drive in the City of Kitchener and Township of Wilmot. This study is being completed to identify the preferred solution for upgrading this section of Trussler Road to address the long-term needs for improved traffic operations, underground infrastructure, and new pedestrian and cycling facilities.
  • Construction Notice: Concession Street watermain installation, June to October 2023 About the projectReplacement of watermain at Concession Street Bridge. The original watermain was damaged by ice jam on the Grand River in February 2018.

  • Construction Notice: Sawmill Road closed from June 5 to November 23 About the projectComplete road reconstruction with new concrete curb and asphalt roadway surface, road widening, on-road cycling lanes, new sidewalk on both sides, installation of traffic signals with a southbound left turn-lane at Charles Street, and drainage and storm sewer improvements/replacement along with stormwater work. Timing — starts June 5Construction will be completed in stages starting June 5 and extending through November 2023.
