Here is a list of Region of Waterloo service changes for Labour Day on Monday, September 7, 2026.

THE REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY OF WATERLOO for approval to expropriate land, which is required for the construction of road improvements on to University Avenue East (Weber Street North to Albert Street), in the City of Waterloo, in the Regional Municipality of Waterloo.

The Region of Waterloo has awarded $265,000 in 2026 arts funding to local arts organizations, artists, and collectives. 

At Wednesday's Council meeting, two dedicated community members were honoured for their many community contributions and their exemplary service to Waterloo Region residents.

On September 8, the Region of Waterloo will welcome a new Commissioner of Water and Wastewater Services to lead the team and continue to accelerate solutions to the water capacity constraint in the Mannheim Service Area. 

The Region of Waterloo and the Accelerator Centre are expanding opportunities for local aerospace, aviation, defence and dual-use technology companies. The organizations will showcase the sector’s growing capabilities at Aero Expo 2026: Waterloo Region’s Aerospace, Defence & Dual-Use Industry Expo, taking place September 16 during Waterloo Tech Week.
