About the project
The Region of Waterloo is rehabilitating the West Montrose Covered Bridge in Woolwich. The bridge will be under construction starting this summer. We are preparing for the upcoming construction by clearing vegetation within the work area to gain access to the site. For each tree that is removed, two replacement trees will be planted.
Closure
The bridge will be closed to vehicles, pedestrians, cyclists and horse and buggies from Thursday, March 20 to Wednesday March 26 between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. The bridge will be open in the evenings, overnight and over the weekend.
Detour
Line 86 may be used as an alternative route during the closure.
