Join Region of Waterloo Museums this month for fall and Halloween-themed spookily fun activities for all ages.  This season don’t miss eerie walking tours, spooky nights, fall -themed fun, trick or treat opportunities, and tasty fall themed foods.

On September 30, a new Grand River Transit (GRT) Every Child Matters bus will travel throughout Waterloo Region in recognition of Orange Shirt Day and the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. 

Region of Waterloo Public Health is preparing for the fall respiratory illness season.

New overnight warming spaces are opening in Cambridge as part of a plan to provide more shelter from the cold this winter for people experiencing homelessness. 

The Region of Waterloo and CUPE Local 1883 have reached a tentative agreement. Services will continue will no interruptions, pending ratification by union members in the coming days. 

The Regional Municipality of Waterloo appoints citizens to various Boards, Commissions, Advisory Committees and other Special Purpose Bodies. The Region's long term care home is a full-time campus for students as part of a plan to improve seniors’ lives and get more Personal Support Workers into the workforce.  

Beginning October 5, residents across the Region of Waterloo will have an opportunity to exchange their black garbage cart to the other size and will have the option to purchase additional green organics carts. 

After a successful summer, the Region of Waterloo Museums and Archives will extend Doon Heritage Village season to include select Saturdays this fall as well as Thanksgiving weekend.
