About the project
The Region of Waterloo will be repairing damaged asphalt at 90 locations across the region over the next two months. This process includes removing the top layer of asphalt, cleaning, applying a tack coat to keep the asphalt layers together, and resurfacing with new asphalt and road lines.

Construction will be completed in phases across each location from August 18 to September 26, 2025. Crews will make lane repairs on the road surfaces in Phases 1 and 2 and return to narrow but longer repairs in Phase 3.

Lane reductions
Traffic will be maintained throughout all construction locations. There may be periods where traffic will be delayed. The crew will be onsite to direct traffic as needed.
Pedestrian access
The sidewalks will remain accessible during each project. Pedestrians should follow the signs as they walk through the site.
Property and business access
All businesses in the construction area remain open and accessible during construction. Every effort will be made to maintain access to residential and business driveways in the construction area during working hours (7 a.m.–7 p.m.). Construction activities may temporarily impact access to entrances. We will provide notice of any interruption in advance as much as possible.
