Doors Open Waterloo Region returns September 20
Waterloo Region – The Region of Waterloo’s annual Doors Open returns Saturday, September 20 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free.

Now in its 23rd year, Doors Open Waterloo Region is part of Doors Open Ontario. The province-wide event celebrates community heritage and architecture.
Doors Open Waterloo Region showcases 23 participating locations throughout the Region’s cities and townships, including: three churches, three museums, two architect studios, an art gallery, and a rural fire station. Enjoy exclusive behind-the-scenes tours of the studio at Rogers tv, the new cannery operation at the Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) Hub, and Schlegel-UW Research Institute for Aging (RIA). Local history buffs will love the former 1852 jail, the old stories behind the new chic co-working spaces at Den 1880, and the iconic Pioneer Tower.
Several locations are celebrating anniversaries as part of their Doors Open festivities, including Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics, which turns 25 this year, Detweiler Meetinghouse & Roseville Cemetery (170), and Redeemer Lutheran Church (90).
