Public meeting: Maryhill Road Improvements May 27, 5 -7 p.m.
The Region of Waterloo, in collaboration with the Township of Woolwich, has retained MTE Consultants to plan and design road and bridge improvements along Maryhill Road (Regional Road 25) from St. Charles Street to the Region of Waterloo/Wellington County boundary.
What work is planned?
Planned improvements within the village of Maryhill include full road reconstruction, underground storm sewer replacement, new curbs and sidewalks, and road and driveway improvements. Improvements to the Hopewell Creek bridge will include upgraded guiderails, decorative wall replacements, and enhanced space for pedestrians and cyclists. From the bridge to the Waterloo/Wellington boundary, the roadway will be rehabilitated, and shoulders will be widened.
Construction is planned to take place in stages between spring 2027 and 2028, following public feedback and approval by Region of Waterloo Council.
