Waterloo Region – Earlier today, Lime Technology Canada announced that it has acquired Neuron Canada.

Neuron Canada had an agreement with the Region of Waterloo and Cities of Cambridge, Kitchener and Waterloo to provide e-scooters, e-bikes, and accessible vehicles for rent in Waterloo Region through to October 2026. As a result of the acquisition, Neuron is no longer providing rentals and is in the process of removing all its vehicles from Waterloo Region.

Lime Canada has expressed interest in taking over operations of Neuron’s rental program. The Region and the cities are working with Lime to ensure any deployment of vehicles is consistent with the experience provided by Neuron.
