Waterloo Region - The Region of Waterloo and its partners are working together to prevent and address Veteran homelessness. The Region's Ending Veteran Homelessness Initiative (EVII) is supported with $3,077,080 in funding as announced today by the Government of Canada.
The Region of Waterloo plans to reconstruct Arthur Street from South Street East to Kenning Place in Elmira. This section of Arthur Street includes the downtown core of Elmira and approximately 940 meters north of Church Street, including the Canagagigue Creek bridge.

Project update As part of the Victoria Street improvements project, work is now beginning on the east side of the intersections at Victoria Street and Westmount Road, and Victoria Street and Fischer-Hallman Road. Waterloo Region - The hearing of the Region's application on the Site-Specific By-law for 100 Victoria Street North, originally scheduled for November 19 to 21, 2025, has been adjourned to February 2026.
