Waterloo Region - The Region of Waterloo and its partners are working together to prevent and address Veteran homelessness. The Region's Ending Veteran Homelessness Initiative (EVII) is supported with $3,077,080 in funding as announced today by the Government of Canada.

The Region of Waterloo plans to reconstruct Arthur Street from South Street East to Kenning Place in Elmira. This section of Arthur Street includes the downtown core of Elmira and approximately 940 meters north of Church Street, including the Canagagigue Creek bridge.

The Region of Waterloo’s Landfill Liaison Committee was established in 1992 to identify operational issues that affect residents close to the Waterloo landfill, such as litter, odour and noise, and to collaboratively resolve these issues. The next committee meeting is scheduled for 7 p.

Waterloo Region - In collaboration with Porchlight Counselling and Addiction Services, the Region of Waterloo Library (RWL) is excited to introduce a new collection of Sensory Support Kits. The new kits promote comfort, emotional regulation, and stress relief in diverse environments.

Project update As part of the Victoria Street improvements project, work is now beginning on the east side of the intersections at Victoria Street and Westmount Road, and Victoria Street and Fischer-Hallman Road.  The west side of the Westmount Road and Fischer-Hallman Road intersections will be back open when this work begins.

Waterloo Region - The hearing of the Region's application on the Site-Specific By-law for 100 Victoria Street North, originally scheduled for November 19 to 21, 2025, has been adjourned to February 2026.
