Construction notice: Church Street asphalt repair, Township of Woolwich, August 2024

About the project

We will be repairing the asphalt on Church Street from Arthur Street to Dunke Street. This includes removing the top 50mm of asphalt, cleaning, applying a tack coat to keep the asphalt layers together, then resurfacing with new asphalt.

Timing — August 2024

Construction will start on or about August 8, 2024. The repairs will be completed in stages for up to three weeks.

Closures

Church Street will be reduced to one lane during construction. Traffic will be maintained throughout construction, however there will be periods when traffic will be delayed. The crew will be onsite to direct traffic as needed.

Pedestrian access

The sidewalks in this area will remain accessible during this work. Pedestrians should follow the signs as they walk through the site.

Property and business access

All businesses in the construction area will remain open and accessible during construction. Every effort will be made to maintain access to business driveways in the construction area during working hours (7 a.m.–7 p.m.). Construction activities may temporarily impact access to entrances. We will provide notice of any interruption in advance as much as possible.

Please plan for some delays and travel carefully in the construction zone. We request that when driving or walking through and around the construction zone you follow and obey the construction traffic signage for your safety and for the safety of the workers.
