About the project

As part of the Fountain Street improvements, we will be closing the Fountain Street and Maple Grove Road intersection for two days to complete this next phase of construction. After this phase is complete, the road will return to single lane traffic going in each direction.

Timing — July 27 and 28, 2024

The full intersection closure will begin at 1:30 a.m. on Saturday July 27 and end at 10:00 p.m. on Sunday July 28. Traffic will return to single lanes in each direction on Monday July 29.

Closures

The Fountain Street and Maple Grove intersection will be fully closed. 

Detour

The detour route for westbound traffic will be Boxwood Drive to Cherry Blossom Road. The detour route for eastbound traffic will be Cherry Blossom Road to Boxwood Drive.

Pedestrian access

The existing sidewalks in this area will remain accessible during construction. Pedestrians should follow the signs as they walk through the site.

Property and business access

All businesses in the construction area will remain open and accessible during construction. Every effort will be made to maintain access to business driveways in the construction area during working hours (7 a.m.–7 p.m.). Construction activities may temporarily impact access to entrances. We will provide notice of any interruption in advance as much as possible.

Please plan for some delays and travel carefully in the construction zone. We request that when driving or walking through and around the construction zone you follow and obey the construction traffic signage for your safety and for the safety of the workers.
