Construction Notice: Kitchener GO Station Lower parking lot changes, Kitchener, July 24–26, 2024
About the project
The Region is doing some maintenance work on the lower parking lot at the Kitchener GO Station (126 Weber Street West) by regrading the lot and adding a gravel base to the parking surface. Once completed, the lot will become a Pay and Display lot similar to other lots in the area.
Timing – July 24-26
We are closing the lower parking lot at the Kitchener GO Station from Wednesday, July 24, 2024, to the end of the day Friday, July 26, 2024, to upgrade the parking surface. Please make alternate parking arrangements during this time.
Pay to park
Starting Saturday, July 27, the Kitchener GO Station lower parking lot will be a Pay and Display lot.
Drivers will need to pay for parking using HONK mobile; simply scan the QR code on the sign at the lot with your mobile device. HONK accepts credit cards and other mobile payment services such as Apple Pay.
Parking rates will be the same as other lots in the area at $2.40 per hour up to a max of $12 per day.
Time-sensitive free parking for GO commuters
Parking at this lot will be free for GO commuters from 5–7:10 a.m. Drivers can register their vehicle for free parking by scanning the HONK QR code between the hours of 5 and 7:10 a.m. and selecting the free parking option. The free parking option will not be available outside of these hours.
This lot will be enforced outside of these hours and any unregistered vehicles or vehicles parking outside of the gravel parking lot will be ticketed.
