About the project

We will be repairing damaged asphalt at 125 locations across the Region over the next four months. This process includes removing the top layer of asphalt, cleaning, applying a tack coat to keep the asphalt layers together, and resurfacing with new asphalt and road lines.

Timing — August-September, 2024

Construction will be completed in phases across each location from July 31 to September 24, 2024. Crews will make lane repairs on the road surfaces in Phases 1 and 2, and return to narrow but longer repairs in Phase 3.

Closures

Traffic will be maintained throughout all construction locations. There may be periods where traffic will be delayed. The crew will be onsite to direct traffic as needed.

Pedestrian access

The sidewalks will remain accessible during each project. Pedestrians should follow the signs as they walk through the site.

Property and business access

All businesses in the construction area will remain open and accessible during construction. Every effort will be made to maintain access to business driveways in the construction area during working hours (7 a.m.–7 p.m.). Construction activities may temporarily impact access to entrances. We will provide notice of any interruption in advance as much as possible.

Please plan for some delays and travel carefully in the construction zone. We request that when driving or walking through and around the construction zone you follow and obey the construction traffic signage for your safety and for the safety of the workers.
