Notice of Study Commencement Baden and New Hamburg Water and Wastewater System Servicing Review
The Region of Waterloo (Region) has initiated a Servicing Review to assess the current water and wastewater systems that serve the communities of Baden, New Hamburg and Foxboro Green and assess current and future servicing needs.
The Study will review existing conditions and provide recommendations related to the capacity and quality of the supply from the existing water supply system and the capacity and condition of the wastewater treatment and collection system based on current industry standards and new technologies. The recommendations of this review may include the need for upgrades to existing infrastructure or the provision of new infrastructure.
How is this Study being undertaken?
This Study is being undertaken to fulfill the requirements of Phases 1 and 2 of the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment document (October 2000, as amended in 2007, 2011 and 2015), which is an approved process under the Ontario Environmental Assessment Act.
How can I participate in this Study?
The Region encourages the public to participate in the Study planning process and learn more by:

- Viewing the Public Consultation Centre (PCC) materials during the Study to review information and provide feedback to the project team on the issues and opportunities, potential options, the decision-making process, recommended solutions, and next steps.
