Construction update: Ottawa Street, Kitchener, July–November, 2025 Pinedale Drive to Westmount Road Project update As part of the Ottawa Street improvements project, the Region of Waterloo is starting stage two of this year’s work between Westmount Road and Pinedale Drive. In this stage we will replace a culvert at Shoemaker Creek, continue the new roundabout at the Ottawa Street and Westmount Road intersection, replace underground infrastructure, add new multi-use paths on both sides of Ottawa Street and upgrade the streetlighting.

This includes a raised pedestrian crossing in front of Moffat Creek school with curb and gutter, pavement markings, signage, and a “speed hump” to provide greater visibility of the crossing area and help slow down traffic.
