Waterloo Region – Region of Waterloo Museums and Archives is pleased to invite the community to explore their new exhibit, Snapshots in Time: Nostalgia & Memory, at McDougall Cottage Historic Site on Friday, February 20. Shaped by the voices of Cambridge residents, Snapshots in Time transports visitors into the past, celebrating 50 years of Cambridge history.
Waterloo Region – An internationally recognized expert in water utility management will join the Region of Waterloo on an interim basis to help address and prioritize solutions to the water capacity constraint in the Mannheim Service Area. The Region has appointed Kenneth Brothers as the Interim Commissioner of Water Services and Wastewater Operations, to work with the development industry, area municipalities, and the province to accelerate work to build operational resiliency and add new water capacity.
Waterloo Region – Region of Waterloo Museums and Archives is proud to announce the opening of “In this act of burial – Part II”, a series of digital drawings displayed on the exterior lightboxes of Schneider Haus National Historic Site. Running now until May 31, 2026, the exhibit features work by artist Meghan Harder.
Waterloo Region - Regional Council has approved funding to fast-track a pivotal short-term solution to address the Mannheim Service Area water capacity constraint. With this funding, the Region will pilot innovative modular technology at the Mannheim Water Treatment Plant.
Popular GRT bus wrap returns recognizing ‘Black Excellence: Past, Present and Future” Waterloo Region – Today, at a Black History Month Launch event organized by the Canadian Caribbean Association of Waterloo Region (CCAWR), local artist Vanessa Nkansah-Okoree's popular bus wrap design from last year was re-launched on a Grand River Transit (GRT) bus. The artwork’s theme of “Black Excellence: Past, Present and Future” recognizes the invaluable roles Black individuals have played in shaping Canada’s identity.
