Waterloo Region – The Region of Waterloo is joining the Strong Cities Network – a global network of more than 290 cities working together to address hate, extremism, and polarization in their communities.   The Strong Cities Network provides a platform for mayors and local leaders to connect, share experiences, and develop strategies to create cohesive, and safe communities.

Waterloo Region - The Region of Waterloo International Airport (YKF) is excited to announce it has achieved ‘RHF Accessibility Certified Gold,' the highest certification level under the Rick Hansen Foundation Accessibility Certification (RHFAC) program. Waterloo Region – Through on-going work and updates to the Water Supply Strategy, a water capacity issue has been identified within the Mannheim Service Area, which supplies water to Kitchener, Waterloo, and parts of Cambridge, Woolwich, and Wilmot. While water monitoring reports have consistently shown significant capacity, a combination of factors, including aging infrastructure, lower levels of water in the system, and the pressures of rapid growth, are impacting water supply capacity.
