Local planning underway in advance of approval of COVID-19 vaccines for children Waterloo Region – In anticipation that COVID-19 vaccines will be approved later this fall/winter for children aged 5-11, the Region of Waterloo is planning for the next phase of the vaccine rollout. Making it easy for residents to access their vaccine receipts Waterloo Region – Starting today, the Province requires proof of vaccination to access certain businesses and settings. Region announces vaccine policy Waterloo Region - The Region of Waterloo is implementing a mandatory vaccination policy that requires staff to disclose their vaccination status by September 27, 2021. Staff who are not vaccinated, or choose not to disclose their vaccination status, will be required to undergo education on the benefits of COVID-19 vaccination, as well as participate in a rapid antigen testing program.
