Ainslie Street

The Region of Waterloo is planning to make improvements to Ainslie Street in Cambridge to address deteriorating infrastructure. From Water Street South to Concession Street and Simcoe Street to Water Street North the asphalt will be replaced. From Concession Street to Simcoe Street the work will include:
- Replacing sanitary and storm sewers
- Replacing transmission watermain
- Upgrading traffic signals and street lighting
- Adding new base and asphalt
- New concrete curb and gutter
- Upgrading sidewalks
After completing two rounds of public engagement, the City of Cambridge and Regional staff are working together to review active transportation needs in downtown Cambridge. This review will help guide priorities and timing for several upcoming projects, including the Ainslie Street project.
