Project number: 05692 | Updated: July 2025

The Region of Waterloo is planning to make improvements to Ainslie Street in Cambridge to address deteriorating infrastructure. • Replacing transmission watermain
  • Upgrading traffic signals and street lighting
  • Adding new base and asphalt
  • New concrete curb and gutter
  • Upgrading sidewalks

After completing two rounds of public engagement, the City of Cambridge and Regional staff are working together to review active transportation needs in downtown Cambridge. This review will help guide priorities and timing for several upcoming projects, including the Ainslie Street project.
