Cambridge watermain improvements

Mill Creek Road

The Region of Waterloo, in consultation with the City of Cambridge, have installed new watermains along Mill Creek Road. This work involved installing a new transmission watermain from Samuelson Street to Timber Creek Crescent, and a local watermain from Samuelson Street to Franklin Boulevard. The local watermain work will include new water service installation from the watermain to the property line. The majority of the watermains and services will be installed by trenching.

Elgin Street North

The Region of Waterloo, in consultation with the City of Cambridge, have installed a new watermain along Elgin Street North. This work involves installing a new local watermain from Hilltop Drive to Linnwood Avenue. All of the watermain and services will be installed by trenching. 

Samuelson Street

The Region of Waterloo, in consultation with the City of Cambridge, will install a new watermain along Samuelson Street. This work involves installing a new transmission/local watermain from Elgin Street N to Mill Creek Road, connecting to the new watermain installed last year.
Existing water services will be reconnected to the new watermain following installation by trenching. New service connections to properties are not required.

Schedule

Phase one construction: Summer 2024
Phase two construction: April–June, 2025
