Cedar Creek Water Tower

The Region of Waterloo is constructing a new water tower at 1233 Cedar Creek Road in the Township of North Dumfries. The tower will store 5.41 million litres of drinking water for the City of Cambridge.

This project helps to keep our water system resilient and aligns with current and future growth in the area.

Design and planning: 2022–2024
Construction: 2025–2027

The water tower will be situated on the east side of the property and will stand approximately 48 meters tall. An overflow/drainage pond is provided on the west side. A new watermain will be installed on the south side of Cedar Creek Road that will connect the water tower to the existing distribution system at Grand Ridge Drive. A standard chain link fence will be provided around the property to provide security.
